Wassim Khayat
Wassim joined Saffar Capital in 2006 coming from the newly established telecom company in the UAE, du. Along with the assigned consultants, Wassim was responsible for developing the 5-year business and strategic plan for du. In addition, he was involved in developing the valuation model with the appointed investment bank.
Prior to that, Wassim was part of the corporate finance team at TECOM (Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority). His responsibilities included leading and developing the corporate budgets, and developing strategic and financial feasibility studies for potential investments.
Before pursuing his MBA in 2002, Wassim worked for Andersen Worldwide - Business Consulting for four years. During that time, he was assigned to various engagements including activity based costing, organizational restructuring, and business process re-engineering and mapping, spanning across various industries including telecommunication, financial services and distribution.
Wassim received his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from McGill University in 1998. He received his MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College in 2003.
